Things to note about STF:
  • The Stephenville Theatre Festival is the longest running professional theatre company in Newfoundland.
  • STF works under the DOT for CAEA actors and otherwise is a non-union company.
  • Typically STF shows run for four weeks in rep mid July to mid august with 3-4 weeks of rehearsal before that (so a 8-9 week contract). We will be announcing the full season and schedule in March.  The intended dates for this season are July 19th-August 17th with rehearsals beginning the first week of June.
  • The STF season includes but is not limited to musical theatre, pop/country review shows, a comedy and TYA show (Season still to be confirmed). Some artists will be contracted to perform in multiple productions in repertoire.
  • We encourage all levels of experience and age ranges to apply; artists under 18 yrs of age may only be considered as part of our young company.
We encourage submissions from artists who self-identify as members of under-represented communities including but not limited to artists of all genders, ethnicities, abilities and identities and/or facing other systemic challenges in our industry.
If you require any accommodations prior to or during your audition, please inform us as soon as possible and we will make every effort to fulfill your accommodation request. You can do this by indicating it on this form or emailing auditions@stephenvilletheatrefestival.com.

Those selected to audition will be notified no later than 5 days before audition dates to confirm your request.

What to prepare?
Artists will be asked to prepare 2 pieces of their choice – this may include a song, monologue, self accompanied music, performance piece…you name it. Showcase what shows YOU best. Materials should be prepared and memorized. We will have a piano accompanist available or you may use accompaniment track that you have sourced (we will provide a wireless speaker).

What if I am out of town?
Please fill out this form and we will keep you posted on dates when we are in your area or when and how to submit a self tape.

Thank you for taking time to submit via this form.

We will do our best to answer any questions or concerns promptly at the email auditions@stephenvilletheatrefestival.com.
