The alarmingly relevant social commentary illustrates the struggles of destructive relationships, drug abuse and the horrors of war, all set against the backdrop of a post 9/11 politically and socially divided America.

    THE LAST FIVE YEARS is an intimate and emotionally powerful musical about a couple in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy telling her story backwards, while Jamie lives through his story chronologically. The struggling actress and her novelist lover each illustrating the challenges and eventual deconstruction of their love affair.
